Energy Choice PA is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Petroleum Association. The PPA represents businesses in the energy and transportation sectors, along with any entities that supply or support those businesses. Our members provide the energy resources that make sure Keystone State homes and businesses stay warm and safe. Their products keep personal vehicles and commercial and municipal fleets on the road.

We believe in Pennsyvlania’s robust and diverse energy mix. Our state is the second-largest net supplier of energy in the country because of our plentiful resources of natural gas, petroleum, coal, bioenergy, nuclear power and various renewables.

We also believe that there are many viable pathways to decarbonizing Pennsylvania’s energy usage, and we need to pursue an “all of the above” strategy. Bioheat® fuel, renewable diesel, biodiesel and ethanol are all reducing the carbon impact of our vehicles, homes and businesses. Research and production of renewable propane, renewable natural gas and other emerging green fuels promise still more carbon reduction, as do technologies like carbon capture.

Forcing Pennsylvanians to adopt electric heat pumps, EVs and other electric equipment limits their energy choice and imposes significant expenses on our residents. To safeguard homeowners’ comfort, motorists’ security and businesses’ productivity, we must allow them to choose the best, most affordable and most environmentally responsible energy source for their unique needs.

Our members and their customers and partners are all part of the unique, dynamic fabric of Pennsylvania. They include suburban homeowners, agricultural employees in our beautiful rural regions, residents of our vibrant cities and others.
